UYUNI SALT FLATS TOUR 2D/1N 

In this tour to the Salar de Uyuni 2d1n you visit: The Tunupa Volcano is visited by people who love and admire the wide and impressive nature of the white desert.

If you want to spend more time visiting the Salar de Uyuni or climb the Volcano (5,435 meters above sea level) and take beautiful pictures from the viewpoint, you can choose this 2d1n circuit.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Train Cemetery, Colchani Town, Salar de Uyuni, Salt Museum, Incahuasi, Coquesa.

The tour begins with a visit to the Train Cemetery, which are remains of machinery dating from the late nineteenth century, after 30 minutes you will visit Colchani, a small town where you will observe the salt process, if you like to buy handicrafts made from salt or llama or alpaca wool textiles is a good place to choose one, then get ready to see the wonderful Salar de Uyuni which has more than 10,000 square kilometers, inside the Salar you will appreciate the Piles of Salt (small pyramids of salt that the people of the people do, to dry and then process the salt), then you will see the "Ojos del Salar" (which are natural conduits through which salt water circulates and end in holes) then you will see the first and only Hotel de Sal (Museum) inside the salt flat, continuing with the tour you will go directly to the Incahuasi Island where you will see giant cacti, petrified coral rock formations and a spectacular panoramic view of the Salar, in this place you will taste your lunch, according to From this you will arrive at the small town of Coquesa which is located at the foot of the Tunupa Volcano where you will spend the night.

DAY 2: Coquesa viewpoint, Mummies in Coquesa.

This day starts at 07:00 a.m. after your breakfast you will go through the registry office continuing with the circuit after a short time you will reach the viewpoint (4200 meters above sea level) and where you will observe the (mummies) dating from the Pre Inca era, it is a cemetery which shows how our ancestors buried their dead (there is a local guide who will explain in more detail about the mummies). From this place you can contemplate the beauty and immensity of a wonderful white desert, its surrounding islands and mountains.

If you want to climb to the top of the Volcano (5,435 meters above sea level) you must leave earlier, it will take approximately 4 hours to climb and 2 hours to descend.

Back at the lodge, your lunch will be served, on the way back to Uyuni you will enjoy the landscape in the middle of the salt flat and of course there will be no lack of perspective photographs.

You will be back in Uyuni at approximately 4:30 p.m.
